Changes get invoiced, not forgotten
Every change is followed from notice to payment: notified, priced, approved by the general contractor, invoiced. What remains uninvoiced is a number you see every day – not something you discover at final settlement when the deadline for claiming has passed.
Costs land on the right job by themselves
AIMZ reads incoming invoices, recognises the supplier and suggests which job and line item they belong to. You approve or change the suggestion, and the forecast updates at the same time. It is tracking that keeps itself current without anyone maintaining it.
Self-performed work is where the margin is actually decided
For a trade contractor, the biggest cost is people, not purchases. AIMZ takes the hours from timesheets onto the right job and line item, prices them at the real hourly cost, and sets hours spent against quantity produced. Then you see actual unit cost against estimate – while the job is in progress.

Questions we often get
We have lots of small jobs. Is AIMZ too heavy for that?
No. A job is set up with a contract sum and a few line items, and the rest comes from the invoices already in the accounting system. Small service jobs can be tracked with contract sum and accrued cost, without a full budget structure.
Can we see margin per job and not just per company?
Margin per job is the main view in AIMZ. You see contract sum, accrued cost, forecast and margin for every job, and can sort the portfolio by what is slipping first.
How does AIMZ help us get paid for changes?
Every change has a status from notified to invoiced, with the notice date documented. Approved changes that have not yet been invoiced are shown as a separate number, so they are not forgotten before the deadline passes.
We use Tripletex. Do we have to switch?
No. AIMZ fetches invoices and vouchers from Tripletex and other accounting systems, and lays the project finances on top of them. Bookkeeping continues where it is today.
How does AIMZ track self-performed work and hours?
Hours are fetched from timesheets and placed on the right job and line item, at the real hourly cost including on-costs and mark-up. Hours spent are set against quantity produced, so actual unit cost can be compared with the estimate while the job is in progress.
Does AIMZ separate self-performed work from bought-in and hired-in?
Yes. Your own hours, hired-in labour, materials and subcontractors sit as separate cost types on the line item. You see how much of the job you produce yourself, and which part of the margin comes from it.
Can project managers use it from the site?
Yes. Approving invoice suggestions, registering changes and looking up the numbers all work from a phone, so tracking happens between two sites and not in the evening.
